Some bits of catch-up . . .

We’ve been buy on many fronts this week, so let’s catch up across the Sheds and pin-off activities.

First, some good news that Whitby Shedders Tony, Ray and Ted have stepped up to the plate to be joint WHIM’s managers (if they can manage it!). They are three guys who know that Sheds are far more than just making things – they are about re-purposing people. Many thanks.

Second, we are back to registering the two Whitby Sheds and SAMS with the Charity Commission under the name Whitby Area Sheds. Hopefully by February. It will simplify administration and finance. The Sheds will still operate under their individual titles.

Third, the Sleights Youth Shed (to start at the Scout Hut in Sleights in early Spring) has been awarded a grant from NYCC Inspire programme. NYCC have invested in our Sheds since the beginning 3 years ago. Investing not only with sums of money but also with belief and interest in our projects. We’ll be looking to youngsters for their logo ideas.

Fourth, Kidz Making Good is making excellent progress in the planning phase. Work will continue across the Christmas break with the intention of  two public meetings in January. Look at www.kidzmakinggood.org.uk

Fifth, THE SHEDDERS WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. 2018 has been an exciting year with recognition in the community for what the Sheds do. 2019 offers significant challenges

Look at some shots from this week.
