Brian was up and about early at Staithes
Thursday 1.2.24……another busy day at Staithes Shed …..Brian opened up nice and early and was putting yesterdays log delivery into the log store …..followed by brewing us all a nice cuppa to start the day off.
Ken and Brian progressed work for the refurbished community notice board for Staithes village hall.
Liz brought seeds , seed trays , containers etc and started to get the greenhouse ready for seed planting
Phill and Jim made a folding shelf and trialled it …..surprisingly it worked 😀…..so more to follow ….this will give us a bit of flexibility for greenhouse layout one plants start growing….
In the photos you can see Liz organising the growing kit and Phill testing the folding shelf …..also Chief Engineer Ken giving the shelf a formal inspection to review the standard of the workmanship……we await he detailed report 😀….

Thursday 8.2.24……well another busy day at Staithes shed ….as usual the day started with the wood burner warming the workshop and Brian’s cuppa and biscuits……there was a multitude of activities taking place …
Keith , Brian and Phill were busy on the lathes ……..
Phill and Aiden moved the 3d printer to a better location in the workshop and Aiden set the machine off producing a map of Whitby ….
Liz continued with planting preparation , soil is in the greenhouse , plant trays , plant pots and seeds all good to go….
Christel is getting to grips with workshop layout and tidiness …an area for the “hardware store” has been designated and work on organising all bits and pieces ( screws , hinges et etc ) has commenced …
Ken progressed work on Staithes village hall notice board and also worked with Jim on the greenhouse door fastenings and end caps for the greenhouse guttering…
