Christmas is coming

Jim’s immortal words are “Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat”.  At least in Staithes Shed it is!

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat ….  The shedders got together and opened a load of tat …

On Thursday 14th December shedders from RH Bay and Whitby met with us at a Staithes shed for a Christmas buffet….with a difference …

As an antidote to presents and traditional secret Santas we had a “Secret Santa of Tat “….each shedder kindly placed their wrapped tat into the “Tat Sack “ …..and then when it was “Tat Time” we each picked out a  tat present…..I think it raised a few smiles ….

We had a smashing buffet , mulled wine , plenty of tea and of course great conversations in a relaxed  atmosphere……

A big THANK YOU to all shedders  who came along and made it such a friendly relaxing and uplifting event …….here’s a couple of photos to enjoy …

Regards…Jim.

To check out Jim’s account, we had Rob’s (of Whitby Shed)

A very enjoyable fayre was provided by the Staithes team with invitations extending to both Whitby and Baythorpe Sheds.
The visit commenced with a tour of the site including their new almost completed greenhouse, we were impressed.

In the Shed we enjoyed food, drink, conversation and camaraderie. Some new faces, some familiar [old faces?].
A great finale was the ‘anti Secret Santa’. All guests had been asked to bring along a token gift with a price guide of 20 to 50 pence, the crazier the better. This was a great success as can be seen in the last picture.

Thank you Staithes Shedders we had a great time!

Here is a Christmas Greeting from UKMSA that is a bumper summary edition

https://mailchi.mp/ukmsa.org.uk/shoulder-to-shoulder-october-15732722?e=8b5d298ead

It celebrates a lot of diverse progress in 2023 and looks forward to 2024.

There’s a lot to browse that’s encouraging. It’s the steady week to week work that really scores of course.

In Whitby Sheds there is a lot going on in each Shed. Diversity indeed!
