Bank Holiday in Staithes – Blue Skies

What a glorious day at Staithes. Shedders Brian and Linda had been busy since last week, building a storage space. We carried that on. Recollecting that the Shed is not about what is made but who is made, it was thrilling to have Ted with us again, getting used (again) to the banter he  enjoyed as a working man. It’s a little different for Brian and Linda but the essence for them is the sense of growing confidence. Great they took the lead in constructing storage.

Graham brought a vintage lathe in supreme condition which had been the pride and joy of a wood turner who had to retire from his hobby. What a gift to pass on. We await a visit from Lance to set it up properly. A banner and sign day too. It’s coming together nicely.
